American Electric Power - Neighbor-to-Neighbor Program

This fund offers a one-time assistance payment of up to $350 per winter heating season to maintain or restore service.

Benefit: Up to $350 once per winter heating season.

​

Eligibility: Household earnings at, or below, 200 percent of the federal poverty guidelines.  Customers must have an outstanding balance of at least $50 and be at least 30 days behind.  Customer must also have made, at minimum, a $75 payment on their account in the last 90-days preceeding application for assistance.

Availability: Once per winter heating season - Winter Assistance; November 1 through March 28.  Grants are dispersed on a first-come, first-served basis to eligible applicants while funding remains available.
