Nourishing Today's Youth for a Brighter Tomorrow

As part of our efforts to reduce poverty in America, Community Action Commission of Erie, Huron & Richland Counties, Inc., in Sandusky, Ohio, serves the youth through the Summer Food Service Program. Our community service aims to help students stay healthy by providing nutritious meals after the end of the school year. This explains why we have chosen to implement it during the summer season.

Genuine Concern for the Community
CACEHR is genuinely dedicated to helping those in need. Our clients appreciate our sincere efforts as evident through the specially designed programs we implement. Our organization provides them that much-needed assistance after they have exhausted everything to alleviate their conditions. Case in point, our fatherhood and motherhood programs help heads of the family better manage their circumstance. Another commendable program would be our Summer Food Service Program.

Summer Food Service Program

The 2016 Summer Food Service Program formally began on June 20 and ended August 5. We participated in the SFSP in 2016 at over 15 sites. Taking part is easy because participants are not obliged to enroll or pay anything.  This program was open to children ages 1 to 18. The children were able to participate for free through the same sites that CACEHR covered. To learn more, feel free to access any of these sites. At this point, we would like to inform you that all of them are closed or restricted. These sites would only allow access if the child concerned is enrolled in a program. If you want more information on this program, feel free to view our current newsletter. You may also get in touch with the Sandusky CACEHR or any of the contact points listed below:
